Promotional Products began in 2001 under the name of BRIGHT IDEAS Promotional Products, Incorporated. The company was originally based in Southern California, just outside of Los Angeles. In 2010, the offices moved to Northern California and took on the DBA name of Creative Ideas Promotional Products.

The owner, Jaclyn Marx, came from a marketing background in the entertainment industry. After purchasing marketing, print and promotional products for a major motion picture studio, she decided to try her hand at sales for one of her vendors.

For several years she worked in the industry and had a client base both in Los Angeles and London. Overseas she worked with major studios including FOX, Warner Bros. and Disney. It was when she was introduced to EON Productions, the producers of the James Bond franchise, that she realized the full marketing potential in the consumer field. This relationship exposed her to the concept of corporate placement and gave her the opportunity to work with many companies involved with the Bond movie franchise, including Smirnoff, Avis, Heineken and BMW. She was also exposed to several record company clients, including EMI and Sony, working with many artists including Metallica, Mariah Carey and Ozzy Osbourne.

After several years of an exhausting travel schedule, between New York, London and Los Angeles, she decided to open her own company in 2001.  It was a drastic change, but her experience from "being a client" to now "calling on clients" gave her a unique edge.  That edge has driven the customer service side of the business, which she feels is the most dynamic part of the company.

Being able to foresee what the client needs and appreciates has helped me to forge a unique relationship with my clients, because I was once on their side of the desk. Every project that I handle is approached with their goals and interests in mind. Unique product, timely delivery (often under tight deadlines), budget-conscious price point and superior customer service from the initial stages, through production and final delivery, to making sure we have exceeded all expectations.

The company continues to grow with a diverse mix of clients. We look forward to all the challenges and exciting projects that come our way. We appreciate the continued support from all of our clients and the many doors that have opened for us through them. I cannot imagine doing anything else. I feel so fortunate that I get to be creative and resourceful for industries that personally contribute to my life and the lives of so many people. There are days that it definitely feels like work, but there are also days that it feels like a dream come true, and for that, I am grateful to everyone that has worked with us, given us opportunities and continued to support us.
